About DJ Pekay

DJ Pekay is Pako Boikanyo, a self-taught DJ based in Gaborone, Botswana. An experienced disc jockey with over a decade of experience providing music and entertainment services, skilled across a wide range of genres, technical equipment and mixing techniques.

His flyers trace the work: hosting weekly nights at Leobah's Pub, holding down All Handz On Deck at The Vineyard Lounge, playing Rhapsody's Sebele alongside Maths, and taking the decks at festivals and brand activations — 112 dated appearances in the archive since 2019.

The same name carries Pekay Production and Pekay Academy — the sound, light and teaching that grew around the decks.
